Last night saw the launch of a project that’s close to our hearts.
It was a few months ago that Sally White (lead fundraiser and the driving force behind ORBS) had the idea of creating a unique calendar. The target was to use the calendar to raise much-needed funds for a research nurse at The Nottingham Breast Institute.

It’s always interesting to see new ways in which technology is interacting with the user. I recently read an article on Smashing Magazine which showcases ten new pieces of technology all of which look very futuristic, in both the way they interact and in their overall appearance.

Websites and interactive projects often fill our days, but more recently we’ve been creating lot’s of motion graphics work – a refreshing change of pace, so to speak.
New from TED.com… “Technology enthusiast Kevin Kelly asks ‘What does technology want?’ and discovers that its movement toward ubiquity and complexity is much like the evolution of life.”

A friend sent me a link to some work by Julien Valée. He’s a graphic designer based in Montreal, with bags of talent and some stunning conceptual work that combines different media. He definitely has his own style, which is evident when you look through his portfolio which contains some stunning work.
