Us Now film: The power of mass collaboration

The Us Now Documentary is Directed by Ivo Gormley, and explores how web2.0 is changing the ways we interact with the world and how the emerging power of mass collaboration will drive the future. A little techy, but interesting enough at first glance. You can watch the whole film on YouTube. (via ViralBlog).

Google Wave

Google Wave is a new tool for communication and collaboration on the web. The death of email? Perhaps. More importantly it’s the beginnings of the inevitable fusion between social media (eg. Facebook, Flickr, YouTube) and conventional communications tools such as SMS texting, email and instant messaging. Communication all in one place, accessible, elegant and intuitive. Google are on a mission with this new application to change the way we communicate using the internet.

Sixth sense technology

An impressive idea (with loads of potential) is shown in this recent demo from Pattie Maes’ lab at MIT. It’s a wearable device with a projector that paves the way for profound interaction with our environment. It’s a step further towards mobile, forget the iPhone, imagine “Minority Report” and keep going. It get’s interesting after about 2 and 1/2 minutes.

Flash, interactive experiences

Flash is a tool used to create stunning interactive experiences. It is also becoming more acceptable (especially in the design industry) to build an entire site in flash, allowing for the use of lovely touches of animation and interaction.

Even though Flash offers so much, there are certain problems to its use.
