Last night saw the launch of a project that’s close to our hearts.
It was a few months ago that Sally White (lead fundraiser and the driving force behind ORBS) had the idea of creating a unique calendar. The target was to use the calendar to raise much-needed funds for a research nurse at The Nottingham Breast Institute.
The evening of Tuesday 21st October sees the eagerly anticipated launch of a very special photographic exhibition.
It will showcase a world imagined by 13 women, whose experiences of breast cancer have left them fearless, confident and inspired to live every dream.
When local fundraisers for a breast cancer charity approached Jupiter with an embryonic idea for a calendar they were excited and inspired to help.
A huge thank you to all who came along to support the Jupitoar Dragon Boat Team and to those who donated. The blisters, torrential rain and stiff competition didn’t faze them and they really put their backs into the challenge. Representing digital – Matt, Aouse and Jam gave their very best in the name of interactive.
After almost four weeks’ wait, the Beard Off results were finally announced at a small, but nevertheless glitzy presentation last Friday afternoon.
Despite a hard-fought competition, there was only one real winner, Patrick Leverton, who produced an outstanding beard with perfect density and great coverage. Patrick walked away a happy man, winning a bottle of Newcastle Brown Ale as first prize.
