Google Chrome OS… cloud what?

Cloud computing

Google Chrome OS is Google’s answer to the future of computing - cloud computing that is. The end of the desktop machine as we know it? Maybe. Certainly, if Google gets it’s way.

Google Chrome OS is an open source, lightweight operating system. Speed, simplicity and security are the key features of the new OS. It’s been designed to be ultra fast and lightweight, giving customers instant access to the web in a few seconds. The user interface is minimal, and most of the user experience takes place on the web in apps like Google Docs. With the release of Google’s take on email, Google Wave, they maybe set to dominate the future of cloud computing, as they have with search. Is that a good thing?
