Designers and developers are always thinking of new ways to view information on the web. Although not all of them meet expectations, it’s always good to see what can be done, and have some fun with the creativity side of things. MSNBC ‘Spectra‘ news reader has literally put a spin on the way we view the news.

Created by SS+K and Fluid, the site allows the user to choose from a selection of topics to add to their news storm. The user interaction is increased as they are able to choose how you view your news storm, selecting speed of rotation, how news is ordered and how the news tiles are presented.

For the way I like to read the news this probably doesn’t fit the bill, but it is a great sign of things to come. It is also good to see clients allowing designers to push the creative boundaries of the web.
