Google remains king of the UK searches with a massive 87% share.

Up 12% on 2007 Google still leads the way in the battle of the search engines with Yahoo claiming just 4% of UK searches.

This dominance is mirrored overseas by our American friends with Google claiming an impressive 69% of US searches.

But why is Google so popular? It has almost become a household name when referring to internet searching. Phrases like ‘ever Googled your name’ or ‘Google it’ are commonly heard statements these days.
